I'm sleepy!

I volunteered to keep the 2 yr old GD overnight so her folks could have a night out together. We had so much fun! Did a sticker book, read stories, watched tv, played with her dollhouse, took all the little animals in the bathtub. etc. Gramma thought she would be like last time and just fall asleep on the couch. Not this time--she didn't want to go to bed! I'd get her all settled down, then she be up and wanting to do one more thing. Didn't get her to sleep until 11, and she usually goes to bed by 8. Then she was up at 6 this morning. Sure wish I could bottle that energy! LOL Don't know how you Moms do it every day! It's worth it though--I got the biggest hugs and kisses when her folks came to pick her up. Makes me so happy that she loves to come to Gramma's house. Luvs

Luvs~ once that routine gets off it's so hard to get them to go to sleep. My 2 yr old was up until 11 last night because I didn't get supper done until later. Finally had to put her in bed with me to get her settled down to sleep. We got lax over the holidays so now have to get her back on a schedule.
I'm sitting here yawning every few minutes. ha Too bad I don't drink coffee. I could use a pick up today. ha May have to sneak in a nap when she goes down.
Glad ya'll had a good time though. She's lucky to have a GMa who takes the time to do fun things with her. My mom will occasionally make cookies with my kids, but usually leaves them to play on their own. She sees them daily though so I guess it's not as special as if she didn't get to see them much. ~Anj
