Need Help Taking Photos of Artwork

No problem taking pix of a lot of stuff, but taking pix of artwork hanging on wall is a different story. Some one once told me you had to take the pix from an angle, well that didn't work to well for me. I have a neat little Canon A60 digital, but are there some rules, hints, etc. for photographing art work? Any hints, suggestions, know-how would enhance my life too! See what I mean, the photo looks fuzzy, even though I used a tripod.

That is beautiful!
My son tells me to stand back and zoom in. It seems to work alright.

Hey Diane, I tried your son's forumla of standing back & zooming in. I think it worked pretty good. I'm not sure if my walls have slanted or the tripod sunk on one side, but it doesn't matter, I can take care of that. but I do think the pix are a bit clearer. Will keep practicing till I get it right. Thanks again! Pat

Thank you so much Luvs for those nice words! It's been such a long time since I've done anything with a brush, I'm not feeling very confident at the moment. Must remember my own advice: practice, practice, practice.!!!
