Hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year!

Anyone have any resolutions?

Mine is to worry less....

Two days after Christmas, I began having abdominal pain. My doctor is treating me for an ulcer and while I have read conflicting information saying stress does not cause them, I know that I'm sure it doesn't help.

I may have the Serenity prayer tattooed on my arm... lol

Work out more, take a deep breath and let DH handle HIS situations! Enjoy life!

ulcers can certainly be caused by stress in combination with other things, my brother has ulcerate colitis that is not treatable (just life long medication to make it bearable) and he was told it is caused by stress (combined with other factors). He is a very nervous type.

hope you feel better.

I say serenity prayer a lot and it helps!

i am not going to make any resolutions besides trying to be healthy physically and emotionally.

I wish everybody good health for them and their families, health is the most important thing.

OOPS!!! Sorry I didn't know that about Jan. 1 being "everybody's" birthday, if a specific date isn't given. Oh well, Happy Birthday, whenever it is. :>) Mwoods, your statement about each year bringing "joy, laughter, and some tears" is so true. None of us ever knows what's ahead for us. But, as my DH says, "It's been a trip, but I wouldn't change any of it!"

Katy, Logee's is certainly an adventure in itself. I've been going there for years. My first times were when Joy Martin was running it. Even squeezing through the aisles single file is worth it. So many exotic plants growing over, under and around! It's only about a 40 minute ride for me. I don't know of any other greenhouses that have that kind of variety. The botanical center at Roger Williams Park here in Providence is big and interesting. There's a $3 admission though. Lunch afterwards would not be a problem. Providence has tons of great restaurants. Maybe some others here would be interested in one of these or something else. Bill

Happy New Year.

I actually get more excited about turning the winter into spring than turning the calendar over at the start of the year. I really miss my stress relief of kicking a shovel right about this time each year. Gardening is how I let things 'just roll off' and it does get to be a struggle when the winter snow/ice stops my self therapy. It seems just when things are going fairly smooth, one of the grandson/step-gs mommas will do something to annoy. I planted seeds in the little greenhouse yesterday and rode the stationary cycle, both seemed to help some.

Happy New Year to Everyone here!

The serenity prayer is all that gets me through some days.

I have a few resolutions;

1. Start my very own bucket list and hopefully start checking them off. I imagine it might take a while (many years) to get all the things I'd like to do and places I'd like to go checked off my list-but I'm going to start.
2. Continue on improving my emotional & physical health this year.
3. Continue to work on my detaching from the drama-this one is SO difficult (they suck you back in).
4. Strive to make better life decisions so this time next year I have no regrets about not taking care of me.

I wish you all a year with health, happiness and as drama-free as possible!

Happy new decade to everyone!

My resolution is to stop letting people get what they want at my expense. DH is on board with that, too. He let things ride thinking he was doing what's best for his DD. I think he's ready to take some steps...I just pray it's not too late.

I am also going to get rid of a lot of the stuff in our house. Garage sale!
