OT -- Prayers for all servicemen

With veterans day approaching, I'ld like to express my thanks for all veterans and prayers for all servicement. Tomorrow I will be working with a program to provide a holiday meal to vets.

Very timely KKNY.. Just back this afternoon from a funeral for a boy killed in Iraq... I am thinking and praying for his mom today and tonight, to get her thru this...

Thanks for the reminder, KK, & bless you for doing this service for our veterans.

Here in Texas we're still reeling from the attack at Ft Hood, so, if you can, please say a special little prayer for those service members & families.

Albert passed away at 1PM yesterday. He is best know for sharing his brugmansia plants. He just got interested in Plumeria, after he moved to the coast this past Dec. He was just putting in his flowerbeds at his new house. I talked to him last Saturday. He offered to let me have his trailer to bring back the big plumeria plants from John's house for K and Willey. I did not have a hitch on my car, He said his daughter took his truck to Belton, so he did not have a way to haul the trailer either. I told him I will just take my small truck, and see if I could bring a few home. When the box I had was too small to mail Andrew's Bill Morange, Albert drove 15 miles to bring me a box so I would be able to mail it to him. He was always thinking of others. He always read the plumeria forum, brugmansia forum, and the gardening in Texas forum, he told me he was so busy building his new deck and putting in flowerbeds, that he did not have time to post anymore. Thank you everyone - had a family Christmas party last night at my nieces house and my 7 year old granddaughter was there. I held her so close and was so thankful to God that I could. She was so full of life and so excited about new dance moves she was learning and a new song she is learning. I just 'drank' it all in. So many many parents and grandparents will never see their 6 or 7 years old ever do that. There are times when I say 'why God??' but in the end I know he has his plan and one day it will all be made clear. Again my prayers are directed to Connecticut - may they feel God's comfort during this time of sorrow ..... Lynne

UPDATE.....Surgery was changed to in the morning the Doctor had surgery at the other hospital today. Brian is hanging in there been threw lots of pain meds this past week. I have kept the baby alot since my daughter works evening hours at the end of the week. We have to be there at 7am in the morning. Keep us in your prayers. I will let ya know more tmorrow afternoon. Nanci Two months, two weeks, one day, 6 hours, 21 minutes and 38 seconds. 3050 cigarettes not smoked, saving $434.71. Life saved: 1 week, 3 days, 14 hours, 10 minutes.

Thanks everyone! There will be no services, only a private burial, I doubt Jean's up to much more. The office folks were on their way back from a funeral for one of the salesman when they got the news, that man died of cancer too.... so sad. Thanks for uplifting them all! My prayers go out to all of the families touch by war, and loss of a loved one, those who have family members still serving and those who have family members are are back and are still suffereing with war induced stress syndrome and problems.

Yesterday was a long day. Veterans of all ages, shapes and sizes. Its always a reminder to me of many things. One man said to me that he knew he had made some bad choices in his life, but was trying to make amends. I think that is something we all need to remember, that as long as someone is still alive, there is hope.
