| This has been the best summer with the kiddos. The oldest SD is now 16, middle SD is 14 and youngest SS is 13. All teens and its been rough. We will be married 3 years in August and finally I can say I truly love the kids. Our relationship is good. I never thought I would be able to say that. My SS13 and I have been good since the beginning, I am more motherly toward him since he was only 8 when I met him. The girls have taken a while. We have had a blast this summer. When it was time for them to go back to their Mom for 2 weeks I was not ready. Usually I have begging my DH to let them go home early. Terrible I know but so true. Anyway just a good happy post. It takes time for sure. We are not the perfect family but closer than ever. Just wanted to share and hopefully this will give hope to someone that was in the same position I was in and felt this was impossible. Thank you ladies for being there. |
