I am so happy today!!

Dad and SM were supposed to fly in for a family event this weekend, but SM got sick and couldn't make it. My relief is indescribable. She actually drug it right down to the wire, was at the airport and then decided she didn't want to come. Thank goodness. She is SICK and she was going to fly for 8 hours to get here. Any bets that the rest of us would have gotten sick too? Anyone remember the last time she came out she was sick and got us all horribly sick on our vacation?

No special shopping trips. No mindless conversation. No person butting into my conversation with EVERYONE to talk about herself.

No special favors, or having to leave the event early because of _______________ whatever she wants to pick this day as an excuse. No driving her up 200 miles to see her family (yes, I actually WAS going to do that). And yes, this is petty, but no wet floor and shaved animal wads of hair in the bathroom.

Just me and my dad and my daughter this weekend. Bliss.

Do you think she's really sick, or do you think she expected your Dad to cancel and stay home with her? Bet on constant moaning phone calls to your Dad....

But enough about you. Let's talk about ME now! Have I ever mentioned my special dietary needs to you? And how I require at least two large towels, pure cotton, white but unbleached, for every single shower I take... and the toilet paper! I need special toilet paper, and a lot of it... ;-)

A lot of my wee ones I bought at the end of summer are returning too! Though, I still have a few that I see no signs of, and a few others with just a knob barely poking through the soil. I have one hosta I've had for three years now that I haven't seen any eyes on yet, and that's Jack Of Diamonds. Maybe it's just extra sleepy this year, or is thinking of the other hostas (if hostas could think), fools, it be too early. So this a prerequisite to be a good gardener; one must love bugs and such? Lol. Although I must say he is kinda cute! George, lover boy and his lady are cute also. But if he kept doing that while on duty you might have to have a talk with him! Everyone is always laughing at me for being scared of crawlers and what not. Just two weeks ago we were at a nursery and a giant worm crawled right next to my foot, it was about 12 inches long! I jumped higher than Michael Jordan and sprinted faster than Usain Bolt! Then today as I was replanting a camellia I found at least four worms! I was not expecting any considering the fact we just added compost a week ago. What a wimp right?

Good for you IÂm glad it was that easy for you. It took nine months of the GE repairman coming to my house every Monday before GE finally replaced my less than 2 year old refrigerator. My neighbor thought I was having a fling with the young man and ask DH about it. LOL He replaced everything in the refrigerator and it still froze everything I put in it. Does anyone have a problem with smaller loads becoming unbalanced. I've owned the washer 2 weeks and have done approximately 15 loads and so far 2 have given me the uE error and extended the wash to rebalance the load. One load didn't recognize it was unbalanced but the tub was almost violently swaying side to side, the sheets were balled up on one side, and there wasn't enough water in there to move the clothes at all. This was only one set of queen sheets. I stopped the cycle, redistributed everything and the pressed the extra water button. It seemed a little better after this, but it's frustrating that I find myself needing to watch every load to make sure it's working properly. To me it seems the washer works better with larger loads, but does not work so well with smaller loads. Has anyone else come to this conclusion? Also, my washer has never had any jet spray action, where it's spinning very fast and the water is shooting from the top onto the clothes. Is this normal? Should I see this on every wash? Another issue I'm having is I was using powder detergent (only half of what is recommended by Tide on the box)...and after each wash cycle I stopped it and looked in the dispenser and over half of the detergent was still inside. This happened on every wash, cold, warm, hot, it didn't matter. I emailed LG and attached a picture and their response was to switch to liquid detergent. And my last question is, has anyone noticed the tub "creeking?" This started about 5 washes ago and it creeks like an old rocking chair. I can hear it from the next room with the door closed. I'm wondering if I need to have a service person come out.

LMAO Mattie! Here's a map to the grocery store, and the broom to sweep up after yourself when you get out of the shower and a lamp to knock yourself in the head with on the way out :)

I don't know if she was really sick. I know she actually went to the airport before she decided. It was down to the wire. On FB I saw her making plans for the weekend, so not "that" sick.

We had a GREAT weekend. Absolutely wonderful. Best ever.

That is so great to hear! I'm glad you finally got a weekend with Dad, and without the "But are these towels 100% pure Egyptian cotton?" woman.

I don't know; why do I get the feeling that she was trying some control thing with your dad and trying to get him to cancel? You'd think that after he went without her, she'd have had the good sense to not publicly announce her "Fine, I'll show you" plans to the world. If she thinks she's going to start playing power games with your dad she might find herself surprised and dismayed by the result (fingers crossed!)

I have the same niggling feeling Mattie. But it was really, really a great time without her. All the stress just fell away.

I get the feeling things may be stabilizing with them (and me). But please, keep those fingers crossed!!
