| I hope everyone has a fun weekend, as well. KK, that is really great. They were talking on the radio this morning about how people (myself included) tend to lose sight of the real reason for the holiday weekend. Everyone thinks Memorial Day=the lake, boating, pools and BBQs. It's important to remember the reason for the holiday on Monday and to take a long moment to be grateful for the freedoms we have in this country and those who lost their lives protecting those freedoms. |

| Today I was at a bbq and my friends father in law was there. He is a war vet who was in the armed forces. Married and had kids. Now he is retired and instead of enjoying his golden years alzheimers set in. He also has other health issues going on now. Sad to see this ex soldier sitting in a wheelchair, in a diaper, mumbling and making no sense. |

In memory of my cousin Steve:  and proud of my son (he's being deployed to Afghanistan in November)  and my nephew... who is finally home for good after four years and two tours of Iraq.   |
