GardenWeb needs your feedback!

Hi everyone,

As you may have noticed, we've been sprucing up the site a bit. Among other things, we've added new ways to upload photos and email notifications of post replies. We are still cleaning out cobwebs and weeding some areas of the site, but we are also working on some bigger projects like a better search engine (yay!) and a mobile app. We'd also like to get some feedback from you. What enhancements or additions would you like to see? What do you love? What do you hate? Think big and small!

We can't promise the moon, but please know that we will read and consider every one of your ideas and suggestions. We appreciate your loyalty and dedication to our site and we know how important your community is to you. Help us make it even better!

Please use this post to offer your feedback. But, as always, you are welcome to contact me directly by clicking on my profile page.

Best regards,

Tamara Amey

It's great that we can upload pictures directly now. Thank you! I wish we had more participants on this site and we are missing quite a few who used to post here regularly. Don't know what to do about that. I wish I had some suggestions. I like the layout of this site.

I just posted under "What are you working on" and my pictures are gigantic. Can you resize them for me, or else, can you delete my post? I thought pictures were automatically sized correctly . . . Thanks so much.

I can't see any difference. In fact, there are more problems. W/ever click I have to wait forEVER to get where I'm headed. Log in takes longer and doesn't save my login as b/f, getting to a thread takes longer, posting takes longer, getting back to the site takes longer, and there are more popups. IMO, this is a troubled site. Wish y'all could make it easier and faster to navigate. I don't have these problems w/other forums.

I'm glad you posted this, slowmedown. I have the same issues, but I thought it was my computer.

    Hi everyone!

You asked and we listened. Today we are very excited to be debuting our newest feature -- post editing! To use this feature, go back to the post you wish to correct and you'll find the link under the 'My Clippings' links on the right side of the page.

I want to give a special shout out to all the testers who tried to break the editing tool. ;) Your feedback was insightful and invaluable. Thank you!

You may have also noticed that we adjusted the login cookie awhile back so that you should not have to login repeatedly.

Stay tuned -- we have more cool things in the works!

As always, please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

    Best regards,
    Tamara

Tamara, in the post entitled "What are you working on?" there are two entries of mine dated Oct. 19 where the pictures are huge ... can you fix them, or tell me what I can do in the future to post normal-sized photos?

I was able to in the past, but now when I use the feature where I can post pictures directly onto this web site, the pictures are giant.Thank you!

Thanks for being concerned about our opinions and making cool changes. I haven't changed my computer settings, and notice recently on this forum that the font is soooo small I can barely read my postings while I'm typing. If this is due to the forum changes, I surely don't like this part. Not complaining, just wondering.
