Question about Wedi

I'm going to use Wedi to make some mirrors. First time using it. Have my hanging hardware installed. Am wondering about the edges. I'm going to use MacGlue. Can I glue right to the edges of the Wedi, or do I need to cover the Wedi with thinset first?

RE: Question about Wedi

I think most ppl wrap it in drywall tape and thinset 1st

RE: Question about Wedi

Yes, I would cover the Wedi first. If I was going to glue to the edge, I would use the drywall tape and thinset, and if I was simply going to cover the edges and paint them (and not glue tess to them) then I would just cover with thinset. (You know that you can sand thinset if you need to.)
