And sadly, we don't get much of CalamityJane anymore either. It's a shame. I owe them for my starting a whole business selling concrete flowers and bugs. Was Slow who convinced me I could do armature. I had tried commenting on a couple of her new photos on Photobucket, but no replies. Hope it wasn't something that offended them, though I don't know what. This is about the friendliest forum on the internet.
I just can't seem to get that involved with Facebook. I have an account and friends and all, but I go for days without even checking it.
I sure hope no one on here ever gets offended by anything I did or didn't do. This is my main place to go to every day. However, this computer is a battleground sometimes. My two granddaughters fight over it plus both my husband and I are always wanting on here so sometimes there is a line.
Therefore, I might get on here when the girls are away at school or something and stay for awhile and comment on posts; then they take over and I might not get back on it and might fail to comment on other posts.
I do not think any of them got offended CalamityJane is working now not sure and Slow is at flicker .I have not done any thing really new so I have not posted I do come here. often .I have not given it up just slowing down a little and working in the yard .I have health prob..
Thanks for the update Nana. Relieved to know it wasn't anything anyone said or did. Hope your health problems don't keep you from the things you love. Glad to have you here however often you can join us!
I'm crazy for Facebook--practically live on it, though I've got friends and family all over the country so it's the way I stay in touch. Still, this is my craft forum. My friends just ooh and aah, you all here tell me how to do it! LOL
I'm trying to be good about paying it forward, since people were so nice to me here when I was first starting out. Though I'm pretty specialized and don't have expertise in GOG, stained glass, indoor projects, et al. I try to bow to others if I don't think I can answer the question accurately. I do know it can be challenging finding the time, though.
This is Slow - crawling in here on my hands and knees. Would y'all PLEASE forgive me for being too danged sensitive? PLEASE. When this forum laid down and practically died, and the responses to my postings just dried up, I was too sensitive, thinking nobody gives a dang what I do. So, I, like a silly little girl, said "I'll take my toys to Flickr". I am so sorry I left here. This was my first home - just like you, Silva, I would come here first thing every morning. This thread has humbled me to the point that I'm almost too ashamed to crawl back. If I promise not to get my panties in a wad again, may I join the fun again? Thanks to all of you.
Slow, will you post a link to your Flickr? I looked and looked but I couldn't find it. I know I've commented there before, but for some reason, I couldn't figure out how to go back there.
My dear friends. Thank you for your warm reception back to the fun zone. SILVA - sending a link to my Flickr album. Perhaps the name change for Flickr is the problem. My Flickr name is Ratherbmosaicing. Link follows. Flickr link
Hey so good to see you it is slow but it dependable. Love it here .I qeuss you can say some time I am just to lazy to respond sorry. You know slow we have missed you and some of the others.
You're back !!! I'm so glad you peeked in to see how we missed you ! It has been slow lately ... I'm disappointed ,too . But hey , life gets in the way sometimes :) Alot of times, I just have nothing new to report ! ( I've become a hermit since the dang summer heat forced me to stay inside )
I'm one of those weird people that have no interest in Facebook , I still love my forums. Even if you don't stay here , I know we'd all love it if you could peek in once in a while & share your new projects !!!!!
I'm tickled pink to have you peek back in !! :) :) :)
YESSS!!! We are trying to keep it going, but this thread feels like it's missing something without you and Calamity. Have missed you terribly!
I know I'm guilty of disappearing during the winter. It gets cold in my shop, I stop doing my mosaics and stop visiting the thread. But I am vowing to stick around this year. Besides, I've got a little side business now. I can't afford to take winter off! Heh And SLOW you started the whole thing! Soooo happy you are back, and I'm very sorry if I contributed in any way to hurt feelings. Would never want to do that in a million years!
Stoooooooop - no hurt feelings - I'm just a silly redhead and waaaaaaaay too sensitive. I should have just thrown my work out there and not worried whether anyone responded or not. BTW - referring to your comment, LORI, about posting to my Photobucket - I didn't get an email message. Usually when someone posts on one of my photos I get an email. I w/never have neglected to respond had I received one. SILVA has posted a couple times, and I responded. Sorry. Thanks again for accepting me back w/such warm comments. I'll be gooooooood in the future - promise, and I'm here to stay.
Yea! Glad to see you are back, Slow! I have learned so much from your postings as well as everyone elses. You all are such an inspiration for me and this is my "go to" site whenever I need an answer or want to learn something new. I did find you on Flickr and am following you there. I love to see everyone's photos of their work! :)
Thanks, MR. This is a wonderful forum. Like LORI said - the friendliest forum on the net. Re Flickr - I am still learning to navigate the site - sure messed up posting that tutorial, but I hope what I posted is info enough for one to try the process. I'm so addicted to building w/the lath/crete that I can't seem to go back to mosaicing little things.
So glad you are all OK. Things got so quiet here, i was concerned something bad had happened. Now you are all putting me to shame with my lack of creations.
ernie, commit to something so that you have to do it. This lady, a friend of a friend, asked me to join with her in an Open House last weekend, so I said I would. I had less than two weeks to get ready plus I had other commitments. So we did it and it went well. She decided to do another one on December 1st, so I am really busy right now trying to build up some inventory. That's the only way I get anything done, is to have some outside pressure.
