You can click on this link and it should take you to my album: http://s276.photobucket.com/albums/kk39/crazymosaics/

Hello,

I bought two big boxes of stained glass scraps from a stained glass that was going out of business so I've been working through that.

I've uploaded four projects. Three completed and all un-grouted. I don't know how to put the pictures in so I've added the links below.

Lighthouse - I copied a picture out of a magazine and blew it up and now i'm putting the stained glass over a piece of glass from an old picture frame. I think I'll grout it black and then once it's finished I'll put the frame over the picture (which i painted a dull red) and my dad will put brakets on the back to hold the picture in place.

Vase - Just a plane round glass vase that I used pink and purple stained glass on. I drew the butterflies and taped them on the inside of the vase and went over the outline with the glass. I think I'll grout it black

Flower pot - This was just a spur of the moment project that I did when I first got my boxes of scrap glass. I think I'll grout it dark or medium grey.

Tissue box - This was my second mosaic I did when all I had were really small tiles. I will grout this a medium/dark grey.

I've only been doing mosaics for about three months and only one project has been grouted but i won't start any more projects until I get these grouted. Let me know what you think.

I also have to learn how to get my camera to stop putting the glare on the glass.

All wonderful projects! Really impressed with the lighthouse, too....but my favorite is the vase! Understand what you mean about having several done but for the grouting! Hoping to do a grout marathon of sorts this week-end...or NOT, may just start a couple MORE things! LOL!

Ahhhh - so nice to just click on a link and see it all. CRAZY: This just knocks my socks off. I now can tell more about the lighthouse. I've seen your pattern-under-the-glass used so many times, and I've never tried it. This REALLY inspires me to try the beautiful sunset picture I took in PV on my last visit. You just take the cake. Your work is wonderful!!!

Here is my lighthouse picture with the frame that will go around it. This is a Christmas gift for my aunt. It took 4 hours just to do the sky. But now all I have to do is grout :)

Thanks for the instructions on how to post my pictures :)

Thanks for all of the great responses. I won't have as much time to work on this b/c starting next week I'll be taking a drawing class twice a week and a ceramics class twice a week and two online art history classes so that I can enroll in my masters program next fall. I am going back to school to become an art teacher :) But I'm not giving up on working on my mosaics. I love the glass on glass work. I found this picture in a magazine, it was a picture of a rug :)

Not finished yet. I'm going to start grouting this weekend but I have requests for a tissue box, picture frame and a vase so maybe I can make some extra bucks.

And slow, you are still the best.
    Thanks :)
