A couple of works in progress

Hello,

I bought two big boxes of stained glass scraps from a stained glass that was going out of business so I've been working through that.

I've uploaded four projects. Three completed and all un-grouted. I don't know how to put the pictures in so I've added the links below.

Lighthouse - I copied a picture out of a magazine and blew it up and now i'm putting the stained glass over a piece of glass from an old picture frame. I think I'll grout it black and then once it's finished I'll put the frame over the picture (which i painted a dull red) and my dad will put brakets on the back to hold the picture in place.

Vase - Just a plane round glass vase that I used pink and purple stained glass on. I drew the butterflies and taped them on the inside of the vase and went over the outline with the glass. I think I'll grout it black

Flower pot - This was just a spur of the moment project that I did when I first got my boxes of scrap glass. I think I'll grout it dark or medium grey.

Tissue box - This was my second mosaic I did when all I had were really small tiles. I will grout this a medium/dark grey.

I've only been doing mosaics for about three months and only one project has been grouted but i won't start any more projects until I get these grouted. Let me know what you think.

I also have to learn how to get my camera to stop putting the glare on the glass.

Hey, CRAZY...those are FANTASTIC! I can't believe you've only been doing mosaics for a few months! I LOVE that butterfly vase! Not sure if I would go black grout with it though, you might lose the purple in it...maybe a light gray? The tiles on your tissue box are so perfectly spaced...wow! The flower pot it too cute and your lighthouse gog is going to be awesome!

Not that you asked, but I see you are at Photobucket and it's real easy to post pictures from there. Just...
select the picture you want (it puts a little check mark in the box once it is selected) ...go to bottom of the page on the right side, there is a blue box that says "generate html code" click on that...then copy the code from the box on the top and paste it in your post. Just remember when you go back to do the next one to make sure the previous one is unchecked.

BEAUTIFUL. What CINDI said. Your work has a definite style that I REALLY like - sorta - well - I can't describe it other than "sweet and innocent". Oh, please do follow her advice on posting pics.

Thanks for the instructions on how to post my pictures. Here is my finished lighthouse picture with the frame around it. Just have to grout this week and I will be caught up. Not sure if I should do black grout or dark grey.
