GOG Table

The round glass is from one of those cheap little decorator tables, found at the TS. I put it on top of a large flower pot for a little table on the deck. I usually do most of my mosaics with triangles or squares but decided to try just breaking the glass into random sizes. I like the way it turned out. The grout is black, but it looks grey.....I wanted black! darn it!

This is the first piece of my column from cement blocks, I want it to look sort of mexican, not sure on the design for the next one but I'm working on it. Now that I've previewed this I think these pics are a little LARGE! Oh well........Stand Back he he!

WOW! WOW! WOW! LOVE BOTH OF YOUR PROJECTS!!!!!

Maybe you could try watering down black paint and using it on the grout on your table to make it darker. Just paint it on and dab it off the glass. That's what I did on my column, it wiped right off the tiles.

Your column is going to be awesome!

Beautiful!! I LOVE the green in the table and the blue on the block. Your color combinations are just wonderful!
Like Barb said, you can darken the grout on your table by using watered down black paint. Let it soak in, then wipe it off the tiles with an old towel.

oh, squirrelly! I love them both!

I love the colors of the round table top - they are just beautiful together - and the design is really, really pretty. And your grout lines look perfect - consistent and thin. And your random size pieces really work (you did a great job of placement with them) - and add something to it, I think!

And LOVE your concrete block! Another fabulous design and perfect placement. I love the design with the triangles around the edges. WOW.

JUST BEAUTIFUL! I always admire your work.

Thanks everyone! I just may paint that grout yet....so many things, so little time, haven't sealed it yet, so I still have time. Hey Calamity, you mean I get a personal escort into town!? I better put some flags on my car like the queen, I FEEL like royalty!

How bright and cheerful that table is, in the yellow and greens. The blue is very intense, and look great with the yellows. Nice!

Those are so beautiful!! I just love that table top!!

Can I ask... How do you cut the glass to get such nice squares out of it? Probably a stupid question, but I'd like to know. I have a glass cutter which I use to score and get nice long pieces, but when it comes to getting squares out of those long pieces I end up using my nipper and it creates curves on the other two opposing sides. I'd like to get squares!

Tiffy, I just cut the long strips then lay that strip up against a ruler and score each one. They aren't perfect squares, I find it hard to eyeball a straight line, that's why I WANT the Morton System.

Seems I haven't responded to this thread. SQUIRRELLY: those are just wonderful pieces. I LOVE the perfect petals on your flowers and designs. HOW do you DO that w/o the Morton or the Taurus??? What green is that on the table? Your shapes are so perfectly cut, color combos are super, and your designs are spectacular. Great work.

Thanks again everyone for the compliments! Slow.. I find that shape of flower the easiest to cut so tend to make most flowers that way. The green... have no idea what it's called, I just pick colors I like. If anyone wants to copy either one, go right ahead, I love to share.
