| I am so not crafty but doing a mosaic looks like something I may be able to handle! I have lots of ceramic and glass tile leftover from our kichen and bath remodel and I want to start by trying to mosaic a terra cotta pot. I have searched for instructions and I am not sure if I should just glue the pieces on or if I need thinset? I guess I need to water proof the inside of the pot? I went to Michaels but they didn't have much in that section and the clerk was more clueless than me. Any product suggestions or advice will be appreciated! |

| You can get thinset in small quantities at tile stores, Lowes or Home Depot. I recommend thinset. Read some of these threads by FLAGTRUCK on how she waterproofs her pots. Also Google tutorials on "how to mosaic". Try this one first. Ooops - this opens on the tool page, but as you can see, you can click on several other instructions. Do some reading of this forum - there is a lot of information from these artists. The Joy of Shards |
