| Just starting with mosaics. I have found a bunch of great colored stoneware plates at the thrift store. The nippers I acquired don't look like they will do these thick dishes. They are the usual stoneware everyone has nowadays. Am I only to use china?
Suggestions on how to do this? |

| Hey, ERNIE: I use stoneware a lot in my mosaics, and I use the wheeled nippers. First started w/the regular tile nippers, but I get better results from the wheeled nippers. They can be found at Hobby Lobby and on-line mosaic suppliers. There are so many things you can use in mosaics. I use stained glass, old jewelry - found at garage sales, found objects, bottle glass, metal hardware, etc. Welcome to a wonderful hobby. |
