Ghost trees

last winter on a fairly warm day we had a thick fog roll in and I was struck by the trees as we crossed the mountains going into town. so I painted them on a small piece of hardiebacker

and sat it aside

last night I started glassing a few trees in the forefront, then painted more branches on them and added a buck, I'm not sure how well he'll show thru the glass but he shouldn't really stand out seeing as its foggy

It is mystical, magical, wonderful, I don't see how it could be any better!!

I think in this case, I had made that foggy look in the paint job to the extent that using the icy glass was overkill and maybe a clearer glass would have been better

I don't know . . . that misty, mystical look is perfect in my opinion . . .
