Brunnera table update

| Well, here is the latest on my tabletop (Kat - I got my day of rain so I could work on it!) I've transferred the glass-on-mesh piece onto Wediboard (used thinset), started the border, and started prep for grouting w/2 different colors:

Ok, here's a sneak peak, but it will be awhile now before I can finish it. I grouted about 1/4th of it yesterday, but will be busy the next couple days. This is the dark green grout:

Well, I finished grouting, but I don't like the lighter green color - it just looks grey, and it doesn't look right. But, it was good experience taping things & trying it anyway. I think I'm going to go over it with the dark green grout and just bail on having two different colored grouts. I know I could paint it, but think I'm trying to replicate too much detail that just isn't necessary.
 The next step is to add support underneath & attach it to the (metal) table base, then finish grouting in place(edges & touch-ups). I'll post a final picture when that's done. |
