RE: The Sidonea Project

Will this be a tree, NT? Little Sidney looks like a little character, and I'm sure she will love what you make for her.

 o
RE: The Sidonea Project

Oh, I can tell it's gonna be detailed and unique. I can't tell what it's gonna be, but I know I'll L.O.V.E it. What a precious child. Good for you. You are so generous w/gifts.

 o
RE: The Sidonea Project

Well me to, I can't tell what it's going to be, but I know it'll be very special. Nice of the gals to send you some watches. This will be a project from the heart.
Cindy

 o
RE: The Sidonea Project

Hey I can't tell either what the piece is going to be, but I can sure see that spitfire look in sweet Sydney's eyes!!!I'm sure she's gonna love it!!! Probably would just because you did it!!! God bless her and U!!!!!!! Cathy

 o
RE: The Sidonea Project

does it have anything to do with Alice in Wonderland?..
so far, so very good!

 o
RE: The Sidonea Project

During the night when I was trying to come up w/a creative cap to put on my posts, I was thinking of this project. Could it be a lollipop tree?

 o
RE: The Sidonea Project

aaaahhh my scribbles are miss leading - sorry. The circles are just indicators of spacing and possible color arrangements (which will likely change when I get all the watches)

I'll give some hints cause I haven't let the birds out of the bag yet. I've named the tree Sidonea menageria. Think the opposite of time flying... (wink)

 o
RE: The Sidonea Project

here's my current progress

Oh, oh, oh, oh, OH! Way to go, girlie. What a fabulous project. That child is gonna flip! If she can work w/her hands, could you teach her simple mosaics?

 o
RE: The Sidonea Project

Thanks Slow, unfortunately she has no control of her hands. But when she's excited, her arms and legs go all over the place! and I fully expect to get that response when this is delivered. LOL!

her mom gave me new pics today so you can follow these to my flicker page to see more of her.

 o
RE: The Sidonea Project

Sidonea

 o
RE: The Sidonea Project

I know what you mean about being sidetracked - my yard derailed my mosaicing, and still have a long way to go. Yeah - doesn't take but sticking down a few tiles to get us back into gear, does it? This is looking fabulous, girlie. WHAT an idea!!! That child is gonna flip when she sees this.

 o
RE: The Sidonea Project

Oh my this is just way too cool....Yeah life has a way of sidetracking us....You'll get it done and it's looking wonderful!!!!!!!!

 o
RE: The Sidonea Project

you got that right Slow, you think you're not in the mood but start sticking and suddenly you're right back on it! Thank you and cathy for commenting

RE: The Sidonea Project

For you Janey Bo...

peacock in the Sidonea tree

 o
RE: The Sidonea Project

OH MY GOODNESS! This is over the top, I am speechless...about the most unusual and most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I don't know where you got this idea? I am sure that you are like me and the stuff justs starts being? I love the birds and I am sure Janey Bo will have a fit about the peacock. Did you paint those tiles for the feathers? This is FAB! I don't think I can think of any words to describe this, I am sitting here drooling and lovin it more as I lock at it. The tree trunk has so much movement.....WOW. I'll quit as I am out of words and out of breath...love it gal. Keep up the good work.

 o
RE: The Sidonea Project

What FLAG said. I'm ALWAYS speechless when I look at your creations. Yeah - are those clay tiles for the peacock feathers? Also what is the top face tile on the tree? This is the most thought out mixed media I've ever seen. Talk about a circus or carnival going on in someone's head - well, girlie, you take the prize. Love the ground. Happy happy is what I see. What is the size? That child is so fortunate to have this gift waiting for her. Your art, girlie, is priceless.

 o
RE: The Sidonea Project

LOL! Thank you FLAG and SLOW. The feathers and the face are both polyclay (feathers being a cane) I showed this to Sidney's mom this AM and asked if faces were cool or creepy cause I was thinking maybe dot the foliage with green faces and she said that would be awesome. so thats exciting - I'm imagining swirls of green mirror and maybe leaf cane slices.. just 4 more birdies left to make

 o
RE: The Sidonea Project

This is just amazing!!!! It is just sooo cooollll!!!! Truly an awesome piece of ART!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 o
RE: The Sidonea Project

 o
RE: The Sidonea Project

LOL, yes many of these watches are beauties and i kept reorganizing them trying to capitalize on their designs. I think that top red gem and "diamond" watch came from Lyndalu and I've been excited to build a red bird up there.
