| The first is my bird mosaic. The frame was a dull brown -- now I painted it in 2 shades of blue with a teeny bit of sponged on gold.
Finally -- my newest clydesdale . I put 2 coats of resin over it , painted the frame black and added gold bling.
I thought I'd never finish this !

They are beautiful! I have a question though - why did you put resin on the clydesdale? Does it give it some wonderful effect or depth or what?

ditto re the resin question: why? and how?

| I added the resin to make the grout much richer looking and to keep the gold beads from turning dull. It just gave the whole thing depth. I love using resin , but it's gotten so expensive. |

| Your work is so outstandingly beautiful, TOOMUCH. How long have you been mosaicing w/stained glass? This just blows me away - the shading, andamento, perspective, highlights, tess used, details on the harness etc, right down to the details on the frame. You're a real pro. |

| Sorry Bon - I uploaded them again to photobucket .Now you can see ! Slow --- I made 4 mosaics before joining this forum ! I got so inspired here . I've worked with stained glass for about 15 years , so I know about shading , highlighting , the grain of the glass,etc . Serious mosaicing was new to me. I love experimenting ! 
I'm also a painter -- that's how I know about perspective. |
