Fixing a copperfoil lamp

A friend of mine has an old tiffany style stained glass lamp shade that's falling apart. The stained glass is pulling away from the frame. I'd like to see if I can fix it. Is it possible to solder over the copperfoil to fix it?

No, you have to remove the piece (and any other piece to get to it and foil it again, then you replace it. I haven't done this before but this is what I was told at my classes. Hope it helps!
