I know Rchovy, Calamity, Bamasusanna and Toomuchglass are all stained glass artists but they all enjoy making mosaics as well.

Yup we sorta turned into a mosaic group here for the last little while...but I do have plans on making a 1527pc wisteria lamp shade....thats 797 more pcs than my peacock window!!!

OOOOOOHHHHHHHH! That peacock window is gorgeous. I can't wait to see the lamp shade. I bet it turns out gorgeous. I love to see the traditional stuff as much or more than the mosaics...and they are always gorgeous too.

Hi, I started with traditional stained glass but found it had to be more perfect to fit together, I hated putting the foil on, sometimes it would pull off, the lead was getting expensive, etc. Mosaics are more forgiving and there are so many other things to use along with the glass, this forum is so full of creative people there are new ideas every day. I think it's just more FUN to mosaic!

I do traditional stained glass also, but haven't done much since last year. I find mosaics so much easier.

Mosaics are a great way to use your scraps..

I started with mosaics thinking I would graduate to Stained glass panels but I like the mosaics so much more.
Someday, I'll get the lead out !
