This is somewhat a mosaic of materials. Finally finished my first art journal, and wanted to make a snazzy cover for it. Mixed media includes glass gems, paper, polymer clay, and cheese cloth. The cover was first highly textured w/tissue paper, then acrylic paint layers, Pearl Exes and Inka Gold. Tile made of polymer clay. Lesson learned here - shoulda made the cover lighter so the clay tile w/show up.

Thanks, y'all. I'm soooooo enjoying mixed media. Made another tile yesterday. CONCRETE - must be something re your computer. It's a huge picture. I'm also on Flickr as: Ratherbmosaicing.
