Hi There! Welcome aboard the forum! What is your project gonna be? I have even used my tile saw to cut a hole in the glass blocks. Thus it has had water involved as water saves the glass drill bit/saw blade.

You need a drill bit for glass for your regular drill. It's a slow process, and you can put water on your little bit as you're slowly letting it do its thing. I've seen instructions that tell you to start w/a small hole first, then enlarging slowly, so you might need two or three drill bits.

I drill glass block and bottles to insert LED Christmas lights. Regular steel or carbide bits just chip the glass and break it. But it's a very simple task with a good diamond drill bit and some basic instructions.

With a good diamond drill bit and the right techniques it takes about a minute per hole. I've drilled hundreds and never broken one...
