That is a great idea. I hadn't thought of softballs...I have buckets full of baseballs...hmmmm. Did you just drill through the balls with a regular drill? I like the dish on top for the birds.

Judy. I pre-drilled the balls first, then give them a good coat of paint. Have three more that I drilled with larger bir so that rebar would fit. I'm just placing one on the top of rebar. I definitely will keep my eyes peeled for more

These turned out great!!! What size rebar is that? Do you have a jig to bend the circle to hold the dish? I like your twirly rainbow thing in the background too, is it all metal too? So what drill bit again...wood...metal...

Calamity on these in this pic I used a garden stake that has the round circle that you at top for holding plant upright. I have three ready to do that I have mounted on rebar 24" and 3/8 diameter. these aren't done yet. Used 1/4" bit for the stake. Don't yet have a 3/8" bit so used the 1/4 one and just rounded out the hole til the reber fit snug. And LOL the twirly rainbow thingy is part of a plastic wirly gig that the wind broke and this rainbow circle ended up in this shrub. Adds some color to the blahness, so left their til spring.
