Here are my opinions on adhesives (others may be good as well but I'm only listing the ones I have tried).

Wood, indoors: Weldbond. (MAC is super but it is now out of my price range.)

Glass, indoors: Weldbond, especially for opaque glass, GE Silicone II Clear for transparent glass. Again, MAC is great for both but too pricey.

Wedi board, terra cotta, or glass, outdoors: Thinset mortar, except for glass-on-glass using transparent or translucent glass, then I use GE Silicone II Clear.

Gluing mirror tile to anything inside or out, GE Silicone II.

but really there's a number of adhesives that mosaic artists have tested out and recommend for different purposes.
This is the section of my class handout, hope it can help

"The choice of adhesive will depend on the type of materials used in the tesserae and the substrate and if the project will be outdoors or indoors. Common choices are PVAs or white craft glues, like Weldbond. They are great in dry indoor mosaics when you can work horizontally When working on vertical or otherwise dimensional substrates an instant stick is easier such as cement based adhesive or thinsets and silicone sealants like GEII or DAP. These are all reliable adhesives in outdoor projects. Ready mix mastics are NEVER recommended for outdoors. GOG require very clear non yellowing adhesives, currently known as the best options are Lexel sealant and MAC glue which has similar properties as crazy glue. REMEMBER that grout seepage can ruin a GOG project and its important that your tesserae be sealed to your substrate."
