Using TG

I am planning to make a bowling ball using TG. I saw some of the forum and they really look beautiful. I was wondering if you glue each very tiny little wee pieces at a time, or can you glue a piece that's let's say, 1 or 2 inches big? If so, will it have the same effect?

It would be much easier for sure. Is there anything else I should know about before I start?

You can glue any size you want! When you press the big ones down they will break a bit anyway. You will get, what I think, is a great look when you use different sizes.
Be sure to "rough up" the bowling ball before you start.
What are you going to use for adhesive? I would reccomend Weldbond or GE silicone II. Be sure to grout and seal well.

Thanks girls! I will be using silicone, not GE II because I can't find it here (Ontario), but another outdoor silicone. I'm anxious to get started!

Don't use Weldbond if you plan to put it outdoors, it will reconstitute when wet...learned the hard way. Outdoor silicone will work, I have a piece that has been out for 3 years now and is still holding up.

Yes do not use WB on out doors .Any size is good.
