Hey NT salt dough

Hey lady, tried out your recipe today. Wanted to see how it would work before I got TWO kids involved. It was a little tough to work with and I was wondering if that was normal. The dough was crumply so I added a little more oil. That didn't really work so I added TINY bits of water that helped it roll out. I did use ad mix instead of the water at the initial mixing. Have a few ornaments currently in the oven. Will report results later, lol.

So, is the crumply part normal? Is that because of the admix? Will it keep? Had some left so put it in a baggie wrapped in wet paper towel. Will it be ok until Saturday?

And one warning to anyone else who does it, SALT BURNS DRY SKIN! Dumb me didn't even think of that. Between the grout, thinset and putting up Christmas lights in the cold wind, OUCH!! (sometimes I use gloves and sometimes I don't)

Thanks for your help. DD and I had some serious Christmas fun this morning. Plan to do more later.
