Support and Prayers needed

I haven't been around much these past weeks as our life has been upset lately with my SIL very ill with ovarian cancer. Since we returned from Mexico the end of February we have sold her house, had an estate sale, packed her things, found homes for her dogs (that was the hardest on her) and moved her to new housing. They finally (after her third week-long hospital stay two weeks ago) decided what was wrong and scheduled her for surgery yesterday for a cantalope sized tumor. We took her to the hospital at 12 noon yesterday, and sat aggitated and anxious til 2:30 when they finally admittted her for surgery prep. An hour later the doctor came out to tell us that she had a massive leg infection and that they were admitting her to treat that but were resceduling surgery to hopefully Friday. Since her home and the hospital are an hour and a half away and she has no other family other than we siblings, we've really had our hands full these past weeks.

Please remember Jenni in your thoughts and prayers this week as she faces extensive surgery with a bad heart and severely compromised lungs. We are deeply worried.

Gail, I'd wondered where you'd vanished to, thought it was probably related to this. You've had a really exhausting and stressful time of it since your PV break. She's lucky you've been able to do so much for her. I will be thinking of you and your sister and sending positive thoughts your direction. I sure hope it works out okay,

I finally had time to check in again here and thank you all for taking time to read and respond to me and to Jenni. They did her surgery Friday and found two separate cancers which they believe hadn't matastisized. Good at first base. Then she went through the first of surgery recovery in record time. She's in the hospital for probably another week and then we'll see what the morrow brings. She will have to go through chemo, and has no one but her two brothers to help her and we all live a long way away. These three days a week I've been down there and then two for my DH have been really hard on us. We want things to be normal again, but they can't be....it's just beginning another stage.

I thank you for your support, thoughts and prayers, my friends. I draw strength from you all, and I know Jenni does from your prayers too. I'll be here as I can be.
