I'm not sure this is exactly what you have in mind, but I just saw this today:

The only thing I know about this artist is that she uses paper to mosaic. I am unsure whether she adds glass over the paper . . . but I don't see why it couldn't be done.

I've never worked with crash glass, but I'd think as long as your fabric, wall paper or whatever is glued down well you should be ok.

I agree...as long as you paper, fabric or whatever doesnt come loose from the substrate it should be fine. It seems the only time my stuff has failed is if the glue I used to glue it to the item failed...

If its for an outside piece I might think it through carefully. If the paper goes south or the fabric..it might just fall apart!

I don't have any knowledge to share, but wanted to say that if you try it, please post the pictures and let us know how it worked!

I have done it a lot of times .Just make shure you glue it down good I have used all kinds of meadea On my crosses I grout all a round to the back so I don't have a prob.

what kind of glue are you planning on using? I assume because it's on wood, it's an indoor project?

Oh, yes - what they said. I used a metallic paper under some and by the end of my project the paper didn't take too well to my adhesive. Be SURE whatever you use is well adhered to your substrate.
