RECIPE: hollywood diet recipe

Hi there,
I have finally come around to posting this recipe on the forum. There are some recipes which stipulate this diet should only be done for 2 days and others are saying 3 days. Well I checked with my doctor and he recommended that I should only do it for 2 days at first and the next time I tried it I could actually do it for 3 days. ( Only if my body could handle it!) Also you will notice that the recipe that I used also has an addition of strawberries.

Here is your copy of the "hollywood diet"
(please feel free to forward it in its entirety to all your friends!)

* 1 C papaya juice
* 1 banana
* 1/2 C green tea/ strongly brewed
* 1 scoop soy protein powder w/spirulina
* 1/2 C blueberries (can be frozen)
* 1/4 C carrot juice
* 1/4C apricot juice
* 1/2 C non fat plain yogurt
* 1 pack sweet and low
* 6 large strawberries

Blend all of the above together till smooth. Serve over ice.

Recipe yields 2 servings.

Drink every 3 hours or less (up to 6 times per day)
Try to use juices with no added sugar or corn syrups,
as this is the key to losing quickly.

Supplement with 1/2 cup of ANY of the following raw veggies
between shakes:
* celery sticks
* baby carrots
* green pepper slices
* mushroom slices
* cherry tomatoes
* shredded lettuce
* yellow squash slices

Use this diet only 2 days. This is meant to jumpstart your
weight loss or get off those pesky 5-10 pounds quickly.
This isn't to be used continually.

RE: RECIPE: hollywood diet recipe

There was a diet article in Woman's World about the 1st or 2nd week of December, 2001 that contained a recipe for a Hollywood type diet drink, but it promised to be better for you. It contained soy milk and yogurt. I wanted to save it but I think my cleaning lady pitched it with some old newspapers! Does anyone have that issue with that recipe?
I appreciate your help.

Hi Peggy. I am looking for the same thing. Hopefully someone will respond.

RE: RECIPE: hollywood diet recipe

A coworker gave me the recipe from Womans World. It is as follows:

1 cup of orange juice
1 cup of cranberry juice
1 cup of (vanilla) soy milk
1 cup of yogurt (she used reduced fat plain)
2 Tbsp. wheat germ
1/4 tsp. flaxseed oil

Mix above together and sip throughout day. Drink at least 64 oz. of water. This is enough for the 48-hour period.

Hope this helps.

Does anyone know how to find Womans World? Also...on the alternative diet, do you follow the same plan? Do you use the supplement. Thanks.

Hello all

Question regarding Karen's version of the recipe:

Would you please clarify if the two servings are to last through out the 2 days or do we have one serving (half of the above recipe) up to 6 times/day for a total of up to 6 servings/day.

A reply would be greatly appreciated.

RE: RECIPE: hollywood diet recipe

My sis is trying this diet & she has a question -

The only cheat I've done so far today (I've not eaten any food since a salad last night) was a spicy hot V-8. Does a veggie drink count as a cheat on a fruit juice diet day?

RE: RECIPE: hollywood diet

Can i do this diet for one day only? Will there be any results? would eating a salad ruin the diet if i did it for 2 days?
