| My overall cholesterol is fine however I need to increase my good cholesterol. Are there foods which will do this? I exercise every day but the HDL is still too low. Thanks for any help. June |

If your HDL is lower than the number needed to balance your LDL, you should be on a low fat diet. There are some good books on what you should be eating to change LDL and HDL levels you can get at the library, book stores or on the net. I use books by Dr. Gabe Mirkin. He has a web site at drmirken.com and they are my "bible" for my everyday eating. I won't lone them to any of my friends for even 1 second. |

Well for one you can use Olive oil in cooking. Also eat fish especially fish like Salmon. Salmon taste good and has the good cholestrol also Tuna is good, but no mayonnaise :0) Broiled or grilled salmon can be delicious! ~Lynn~ |
