I need to find the carb content of Alba Shake mixes. I am diabetic & used to enjoy these shakes years ago. I would order some if I knew about the carbs. Thanks, Cheryl

RE: recipe: need carb content of alba shake mix

I know one of our local health food stores sells them, but I don't have a sample to check. Their site says that their shakes have zero fat grams and 70 calories, so I'm sure there are next to no carbs - most likely made with aspartame or splenda and you mix it with water & ice. Here is their website:

Here is a link that might be useful: Alba Shakes

I found this information on the ingredients for alba shakes:

"Mix in blender. 0% fat, 70 calories. Excellent source of calcium. Sweetened with Splenda. Made from non-fat dry milk."

Non-fat dry milk does have carbs. I found this info on nutrition values for non-fat dry milk powder:

Description:
Dried Milk

Ingredients:
Instant non-fat milk powder.
