| Hi, I was put on an anti-yeast diet due to a severe allergy to yeast. So no vinegar, cheese, mushrooms, sugar. For my diet, my doctor does not restrict all fruit, just the most sugary of them from the melon family. I think this is wise because I need my vitamin C. In my strong opinion, it's part of the cure and I would urge the doctor to allow some fresh fruits. For salad dressings I use extra virgin olive oil and lemon in lieu of vinegar. If I coat the salad bowl beforehand with pressed garlic, and add avocado bits, it becomes a whole different salad experience. (If out of lemon, use fresh lime). For a nice condiment for shrimp, I found at my local health food store, but you could easily make a mango salsa. Obviously mangos, red onion, jalapenos. Talk about jazzy. Again, sorry that I can't offer non-fruit solution. Note this restricted diet has been very helpful for me and I'm down to a size 6 from a 10 (since Feb.) There are lots of things to control UTI's but that's for another forum, no doubt. |
