LOOKING for: Oatmeal from Scratch?

My family and I enjoy Quaker's Cinnamon Roll and Baked Apple Oatmeal for breakfast, and I would like to start making my own. Does anyone have a tried and true recipe I could try? Thanks!

I have oatmeal regularly and it practically tastes like a cookie when I'm done. I use 1/3 cup oatmeal (or mixed oatmeal and oat bran) to 1 cup water. Add either raisins, prunes, dried apricots or mashed banana and cook it in the microwave for 2 1/2 minutes. Then I add 1/4 cup low fat cottage cheese (for the protein), brown sugar twin, walnuts, and maple flavoring or vanilla extract. Then I drizzle a little milk on top. It's delicious.
