LOOKING for: no starch

Posted by pattherat (My Page) on

I'm looking for any ideas to broaden my selections that I can cook for my husband who is on a no starch diet. It's amazing how many foods are starches ... it goes far beyond potatoes and wheat ... extends to things like bananas, soy sauce (the wheat in it) all beans (so no tofu)... and on and on.

Any recipes would be great!

Thanks!

Here's a book on the subject. Might be a good place to get some practicle ideas and information.

look up specified carbohydrate diet in your search window. It is a diet for all colon diseases, and has quite a few links with just recipes. Basically it is no starch, no sugar, no grains. I have been on the diet for 6 yr. and have all my colon problems in control with the diet and no meds.
