Re-using candle

| I have a beautiful candle from Pier I, about 4 inches wide. When it has burned down there will be a lot of wax left. Can anyone give me an idea if I can melt it down, and use it anew?
MANY years ago I made the candles in 1/2 gallon milk cartons with ice cubes, which was fun.

You probably could, but you would have to put a new wick in it. If you happen to have wicks of the right size on hand, you would simply melt the wax as you would when you are making a candle (using the double-boiler method), and then pour it into the mold. If you don't have any of that handy, your best bet might be to put the candle on a candle warmer or coffee cup warmer.
