SFIC m& p users

i recently just started using SFIC bases. I am using the recommended amount of oils..1 oz per pound of base..1/2 oz per 1/2 pound of base. I am not adding any extra oils, such as shea, coco butter, etc., yet my soaps are coming out sticky and greasy feeling. Is this normal with these bases? I am using the goatsmilk, white base and low sweat. I would really appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks so much.

If you are talking about fragrance oil usage, you are using way too much. 1 tablespoon per pound is the amount of fragrance oil to use. Since you are using one ounce per pound, that could well be your problem, although it also sounds like a sweating problem. My first guess would be too much fragrance oil. I use SFIC bases- I love their goatsmilk base. However, it will sweat, and when it does, it will look and feel just like you describe. But, it doesn't sweat that easily unless you are in a humid environment or unless you put it into the freezer (which some people will do if it won't come out of the mold). If it is sweating, leaving it to dry on a rack for a few days, the same way you do CP soap, will take care of it.
