homemade tier candles?

| Has anyone made homemade tier candles? Or tapers? Im not quite sure what the exact name is. I made some just by holding the wick and constantly dipping them in wax. Some of them were very pretty...no two alike thou. |

I have never made any of them, but it sounds interesting. I just do container candles so my wax wouldn't work for a project like that.
