My RC has at least doubled in size (width) since last year and seems to be doing equally as well HOWEVER since everything was so late this year and the spring was so cold, the first blooming just finished up and the second blooming hasn't even started yet, but buds are forming. rwl I find it odd your plants died unless they were really water-logged for a long period of time or unless they were planted in too much shade or a combo of the two. If mine could make through last summers drought and last winters cold temps with little snow cover early in the season, there must have been something terribly wrong with your plants from the start or they simply did not like your conditions. Cynthia, they are so pretty, I'm glad you got one. I am in a different zone but my experience has been great in the shade, part shade and full sun. Planted in pots I have had them in the east with morning sun for a few hours and also west in horrible heat for several hours, lol They do get bigger here in full sun but bigger or not they are very pretty and they didn't care what kind of soil they were in Good luck jolana

I have bought my waterslip decal from a few different sources. The best was from Craft Junkies - but I guess they are no longer in business. Make sure you get the correct kind, depending on your printer - there is InkJet and Lasar. Also Clear and White. I get Clear InkJet. I print as much as I can on one sheet. I use my photo editing program to put the pitures and sayings on a 8.5 x 11 sheet. I leave about 1/2 inch around each item, so I have room to cut them out. With words - I cut out each word - so I could place them as I want - so you don't have to print them exactly like you want them placed on the candle. I print out a test copy on plain paper first to make sure nothing is cut off - the decal paper is a bit expensive, but if you can get many images on one sheet - it isn't bad. I print the page at the best quality. Let it dry for a while - then clear coat it with Krylon clear spray paint. 2 - 3 very light coats - make sure it is coated well. When that has dried completely, cut them out and put them on the candles. I don't buy the spray coating from the places that sell the decals - it is just clear spray paint. I have the candle prepared beforehand. If you are going to drill out the center to put a votive in - do that first. I wipe down the candle with a little rubbing alcohol just to make sure the surface is clean. Then I dip the decal in warm water and slide it onto the candle. I gently smooth it out with a soft damp cloth. I have resprayed the candle with the decal on it - but that caused it to crackle a bit. I am going to use either clear waterbased varnish or modge podge next time to seal the decal on. I didn't see the large 3 wick candles at Wal-Mart anymore - they have a smaller candle - but I think it would be just as nice. Choose a lighter colored candle. Remember that white does not print - if you want white - you need to use white decal paper, but I don't recommend that for this project. I will list some sources below for the decals. I agree about asking your music people about what they recommend. Also, if you are getting married in a church, ask if there are any restrictions on the music which the church will make. I think too you are expecting entrances and such to take longer than they will. So you won't need all that many songs. General seating - determine about how many pews it will take to seat the groom's people, and how many the bride's. Divide that by two. The first rows of the groom's side ought to have groom's people. Then fill in the remaining with bride's. Or, don't worry about which side is which and just seat most people wherever. All in all it is dreary to see half the pews filled with the other half empty. Your proposed seating plan for grandmothers and step-grandmothers seems awkward at best. If it seems like it will work, great, but it probably wouldn't be my first instinct. I'd have candleabras lit well before the family candles. Candleabras are just set decoration, while family candles are symbolic and should be lit closer to the ceremony.
