Strawberry: I feel your pain. I don't mind buying from Raintree as the stock I received last year was really nice. Their shipping is a bit expensive but at least I got nice quality trees AND they state what the rootstock is for their tree fruits. IF you want to save some money and still get nice stock, try ordering from Schlabach's Nursery in Medina NY. David has GREAT selection and pricing. My only issue is that at least on the apples, no rootstock is listed in the retail catalog-just dwarf or semi-dwarf. I usually just call David and ask what rootstocks a particular variety is available on. When ordering, I then request the rootstock I want. David will honor the request assuming it is available. His pricing is extremely reasonable. Since they are Amish, they will not take orders over the phone and do not accept credit cards. Order by mail only. Not that the above recommended suppliers are bad, but you have a wealth of great daylily suppliers in your home state. Pat Guidry is currently having a big sale. Clarence Chrochet always has great deals going. Nan Wilkerson is super as are the Goudeaus. There is also some great suppliers just across the state line in the golden triangle. Look at the AHS website for daylily sources in Louisiana. Also check out the AHS Display Gardens as well. Many of them also sell daylilies. You might want to visit them also if they're close. Nothing beats seeing the plant blooming and then taking it home with you. There's also a listing of the daylily clubs in your area, where you might find people with common interests. Katsura Gardens and Morrison's Home and Garden (both in Plymouth) have the best selection that I've seen in the area. Both have many more varieties than what is listed on their websites.

I used Central New England Distr 223 Main St, Woburn. I was looking for a rustic and distressed look and I was trying to keep the renovation below 20K. They had the most rustic, distressed to choose from and also came in lower then most. Everything worked out great. Not sure where you live but I think there main office is in Northboro. I did visit a gazillion places, even the big box stores. If you drive around, you'll notice there's cabinet places everywhere!! Did your KD leave you with the drawings with measurements? The cabinet places have very knowledgeable employees who can work up your plan and give you a quote. I would go to a bunch close by and find cabinets you love, then sit down with somebody there.
