I need a pink ribbon insert mold

Hi Everyone,

Just got done with another very successful show. I made some of the glycerin dipped fall leaves, huge success plus my other items did great. Did I read where you can dip poinsettas as well?

To the point, I am interested in doing a pink ribbon soaf and donate a portion of proceeds to breast cancer cause, I would like to do in a loaf so I can do alot at one time. Does anyone know where I can get a tubular pink ribbon mold to insert into loaf?

I still have not found the little balls for the snow globe soaps, checked into the place Hazel suggested but no luck. They have to be out there somewhere.

You might try some of the mold companies web pages, for example Milky Way Molds has their own website, and so does Chase Molds. Also, you might try a search on Ebay. I have been able to find unusual things I am looking for on Ebay.

Not a tubular mold, Michelle, but at least a breast cancer ribbon mold... check the site below for a link. Maybe you could re-think your project if you can't find the mold you have in mind.

Billie, you are right, not everything can be subjected to aceitone. thanks for the correction. It worked on a Stained glass butterfly, it worked on ceramic plaque, and it worked on a brick paver. The ceramic plaque took me 3 brushings, as I wanted it deeper, I made stepping stones. My husband needed driveway ppavers for a short walkway, and little leftovers from different batches finally got the amount he needed. I certainly would not use it on plastic or something rubber... garden2garden I have seen a piece done like that a while back and didn't realize it was aquarium rocks. They were applied only one layer deep which is how this should have been done, but her first attempt and she just didn't realize that the top layer didn't really have any contact with the adhesive. I think my best bet would be to rub off the top layer and if in places too much comes off just glue it back on. GeeMee2 I bet Thompson's water seal would be good. Would be perfect for the wood portion anyway. I will be celebrating 6 years in December!!! I have several pink ribbon pieces in my gardens, and I love them all.

Look for a book called "Ribbon Knits," by Judi Alweil. I'm pretty sure there are one or two t-shirts in there. Also try Crystal Palace's website: http://www.straw.com/cpy/free_patterns.html There are a couple of nice patterns in the pullover section. Links to more free patterns below as well. I used BM Fondant. I have used pink several times and finally found the perfect subtle pink - not bubble gum pink. Fondant is a soft pink. When the light is on at night it has a lovely pink glow but not over powering. When I put it on one wall it appeared too light. After the fourth wall it was just perfect! Because the color bounces off each other. It is a very subtle pink but pink enough. Take a look at the chip and hold it up to a white one - you might like it. Pinks are tough and I don't want you to wind up with Pepto pink. Good luck!
