| If so, do you process your own comfrey root or purchase comfrey root powder?
TIA

I haven't made any yet, but I have an herbal recipe for Lavender Comfrey Soap and another recipe, too, can't find it off hand. Anyway, both recipes call for comfrey powder. Susan |

| Thanks for the reply, Susan. I did some more checking and realized that some people use comfrey leaf powder. Lavender is my overall favorite! If you come across that recipe, I'd love to try it! sara |

I make Melt and Pour soap, and you add 1 tablespoon of Lavender essential oil and 1 tablespoon comfrey root powder to a pound of base. Susan |

Hi I make a comfrey soap. I infuse suflower oil with the comfrey root and use this as part of my oils. I then take dried comfrey leaf and powder it in my small processer and sift it to get any little sticks out and I use this at a light trace. I also use Emu oil in my Emu/Comfrey Soap. It makes a beautiful golden green soap that my customers love. Doris |

| I was just wondering if anyone has ever added blended comfrey leaves to soap? |

I have. I make melt and pour soap. I personally don't like the leaves in the soap, mostly because I don't like things floating in the bathwater, therefore I prefer the powder. However, you can add comfrey leaves to soap the same way you would add lavender or anything else. Susan |
