Color for bath salts

Hi - I am going to be doing bath salts for the first time - does anyone have a recommendation for body-safe coloring? How do the colors that are mixed with water work? Seems like the salt would dissolve when you put the color in?

jennie,

(I am only a cold process soap guy, but I have dabbled in the bath salts)

You are only adding a few drops of food colouring per pound of Epsom salts or other salts.
I would guess about 5 drops for a pastel colour, add till you get the colour you like.

Good luck.

I just used a tiny bit of mica powder, the kind I use in my soaps. It's dry, you only need a tiny bit and it's beautiful!

As long as you don't eat the bath salts I think anything will be fine ;)
