Pal KERNEL oil, vs. Palm oil

Hi--

I am wondering...

Is there a difference between using Palm Oil or Palm Kernel Oil in CP soap...or are they the same thing?

Thank you!

Anja

RE: Pal KERNEL oil, vs. Palm oil

Just wanted to post so you would know that someone has read this. I have no idea what the difference is as I have never used Palm Oil. I always use either Sweet Almond Oil or Grapeseed Oil.

Depending on what you are wanting to do with the Palm or palm kernel Oil, for CP recipes that call for Palm Kernel, you must use Palm kernel, it is used to make a harder bar of soap and less lye is needed with Palm kernel.

Other than that, I have not used it for any thing else.

I hope that helped!
