Olive Oil in M&P soaps?
| | |
Posted by hummingbirddaisy (My Page) on Thu, Feb 1, 07 at 23:39
| Can you add Extra Virgin Olive Oil to melt and pour soap instead of Almond oil, etc?
I have Goats Milk and Shea butter M&P blocks.
What does it smell like if not scented with a fragrance?
Sorry for all the stupid questions.
Any and all advise will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tina

Sure why not? What smells if not scented? The finished soap, or the soap base? I'd guess the finished soap would smell like the base, or little bit of the oil you add if it has a scent as well. Olive oil is a great skin oil. |

| Hi, I have a curious question. When olive oil is used in making soap, is it the same kind that we eat or cook with? |

| Hi kal2002, This would have been a topic to start a new thread, but ... Yes, you use the olive oil that you can consume, but there are cheaper olive oils (IE, Pomace Olive oil) that I have used in making cold processed soap, but it would not be my first choice in consuming. Cheers! |
