Essential oil Recipes

Hi,
I'm looking at EO's to fragrance my candles. I've looked all over for recipes and haven't had much luck. Does anyone have any recipes they would like to share? I'm mostly looking at aromatherapy blends.

Pure essential oils don't always work in candles. Most either have no throw or smell awful when they burn. The only one with which I have had any success is lavender.

I have used different essential oils in wax melts and the scent is fine. I think those looking for a natural candle or wax melt will be happy. Obviously, lavender and other florals work well. I have also done peppermint and some with vanilla since I found a fantastic vanilla. I plan on making some with citrus also, you would need litsea cubea or bergamont as other citrus oils don't hold as well.

Some of the people's recommendations are VERY DANGEROUS. Happy New Year Y'all! Im cleaning out my things and have found some bottles of essential oils that I dont use. Would love to trade for more "fragrant" smelling oils for my lamp ring. I have: Sandalwood (by Sun's Eye) -1/2 fl oz - full bottle Ylang Ylang (by Earth Solutions) -10mL(.33 fl oz) - 3/4 full Organic Clary Sage (by Frontier) -10mL(.33 fl oz) - full Sugar Magnolia (by Earth Solutions) -10mL - 1/2 full Verbena (by Scentastics) - large vial - full Looking for: Chocolate scent (any) Vanilla combo scent (any) Lavender scent (any) Butterscotch (any) or any other yummy smelling scents. OT-smelly essential oil

It's real essential oil, I checked after reading Carol's post. The overall smell was initially just incredibly strong. Now, a day and a half later, the smell doesn't seem so strong. I need a lot more flaxseed and lavender buds to fill all the casings. I'm going to add the extra to the bowl already mixed and see if that takes the smell down more. Well unfortunately with florals..you'll get quite a variety of interpretations of the scent. I personally like a Plumeria that I think is actually a Dupe of Bath and Body Works. Which is a blend of things, not just the "scent" of the flower. However if you are looking for a "truer" plumeria, you might want to look for a scent listed under Frangapini. Again I think almost all fragrance oils that are florals are blends, not "true" single "note" scents. Check out Oregon Trail Soaps..I'm pretty sure that Susan and Juan have devised some spot on florals though.
