Candle newbie - problems topping off

Hi, everyone. I'm new to the candle making hobby, but it has been a lot of fun so far!
However, I'm experiencing a problem with nearly every pillar candle I've made. I pour the wax into the mold, then it eventually dries, leaving a concave "dip". I realize this is normal, so I melt more wax and top it off. I usually have to do this 2 or 3 times.
The problem: once the candle is completed, you can tell where I topped it off. There's a line or imperfection at the bottom of the candle (I've attached a picture).
I must be doing something wrong. I've looked at books and sites, but I can't figure it out. If anyone has any tips/suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Thanks!
