What is a Christmas Home Tour ?

EAT.. I was asked if I would share my house for a Christmas Tour on Dec. 14....it is fund raiser for the local Recreation Dept. They pick 4 homes and sell tickets for $10. The girls and I started decorating after kitchen cleaned up Thanksgiving afternoon...one stayed over on Friday...and thanks to them, I am 99% done! The guys even got into the mood...put all of the outside decorations...which was a huge help because that I am not able to do.

Since I sold most of my decorations when I down-sized, I had to borrow a lot of things....but it looks so festive now..and I am enjoying just having time to sit and look at the lights.....entertaining will be fun!

We decorated every room in my house, except for the utility/office...I had to
have some place to put things out of sight. Maybe I can get DD to post some pictures.

How fun! I think. I've never been to one but have always wanted to. There is a local tour of homes here and they always include several historic "gingerbread" homes as well as new ones and everything in between.

Great for you, Phoggie, I hope your daughters will help you post the pictures.

Thanks for the explanation phoggie. Sounds like y'all were busy ! That's so great that you are practically done AHEAD of schedule. It must look so nice.
Enjoy the sparkly lights(my favorite) and maybe light a single candle for your (sweetheart) husband while you sip a brandy or hot chocolate while looking over the lake.
