..and today, my dearest friend told me she was at the local Restore and found some 4" plantation shutters available.
OH WOW.

She bought the short ones.
So now I am headed over there tomorrow. Dragging shutters across my path is like dragging a worm in front of a catfish.
So I am hoping that I can find something that will really jazz up our garage project. Maybe even some shutters tall enough to serve as a multipaneled screen in the living room or to close off the living room (my future guest room) from the dining room. How NICE!!!!

So keep RESTORE at the back of your mind when you are shopping and have a few options to choose from.

I did not spend much money, but I bought a pair of 80" tall 4" louvered plantation shutters. DH asked where I planned to use them, and I really have not decided....yet.

Right now I have them on the western side of the sunporch, seeing how they look. Hard to tell with the porch floor covered in my tropical flowers wintering over, but we'll see soon.

There is always something charming about the adjustable shutters. Take your choice of light, air circulation, or privacy. They are a life long passion of mine.

When I was at the Restore, I ran into an old friend not seen in years. She says she is doing the work on her house all by herself, without a contractor. Very creative and capable lady.
