I have an old 3 cushioned bulky sofa. Under one cushion, the springs broke and now sags. This is where I sleep. Can I cut that part of the sofa off and recover the sofa? My whole house is 900 sq ft and I'm broke as a goat. Help

WOW You might try Craig's list or Freecycle. Not too long ago I gave away a lovely old couch. Just did not fit my house any more. I do not really understand your question of cutting it off. Recovering is very expensive. And YES I spent many nights on my old couch.

I 2nd Craig's List. My dd found a great sofa, loveseat, and chair for $200. Cheaper than recovering, and I don't think you can ever make it comfortable in that spot.

Yes too on a free sofa. Even if it wasn't what you want, you could use the springs from it. Most springs are attached with large staples you can hammer in. Go in from the bottom, not the cover under the cushions.
